HOME>ENGLISH > RE-SETTING THE GAS METER-MICROCOMPUTER METER- LAMP
When the gas supply is stopped and the lamp on the gas meter
-microcomputer meter- is blinking, follow the instructions below.
1
Turn off all gas appliances and shut down the gas supply by turning off all switches and closing all valves. Remember to include any appliances that may be located outside the building. Make sure all unused valves are fully closed. Do not close the main meter valve.
2
Turn the cap on the reset button to the left and remove it.
3
Press the reset button firmly until the blinking stops. Release the button when the indicator lamp comes on. Reattach the cap to its original position.
4
Wait for 3 minutes. Check for gas leaks at this time. After 3 minutes, check the meter. The gas supply is ready for use when the red lamp goes off.
The gas meter
-microcomputer meter- will shut down the gas supply in the following cases.
・Earthquakes
・When appliances are left on.
・When there is a noticeable gas leak.
・When appliances are in use for an extended period.
※If the red lamp continues to blink for 3 minutes after the gas supply has been shut down, it is an indication that gas is still being supplied to an appliance or that gas is leaking. Check again to make sure all gas valves are closed and all gas appliances are turned off.
